Our Winter of 2000 travel itinerary included a trip to the beautiful Caribbean island of Barbados, West Indies.

A much-needed break from the New England winter provided us with a close-up look at another bustling port city, the Port of Barbados.

As in most harbors, the variety of vessels are assisted by the hardworking tugboats and their crews. Currently, the port operates two tugboats, the Pelican II and the Barbados.

Our tour of the Port of Barbados was one of the high points of our visit to the island. The Mt. Gay Rum Tour was another high point which we'll tell you more about when you visit us in Portsmouth!
